Another link I wanted to share was to Jack Layton's 'Letter to a Nation', performed by Raffi. Instantly, I thought of Mike for many, many reasons. For one, Layton's expression of love, optimism and hope in his outlook on life, despite (and probably, in part, because of) his illness. And also, for the connection to children's music (and innocence and fun and laughter) that Mike always was-- singing Raffi was a family thing (goofy dancing, Mike's thing).
