Emily's First No-Life Attack

I have happy to report at the age of 2 years, 8 months, Emily had her first no-life attack.

Let me refresh you on the definition of a no-life attack:
-uncontrollable laughing coupled with
-gasping for air
-at times, head flung back in giddiness, followed by bending forward
-occasionally, falling over
-often includes tears

Emily and I were playing with puppets and for some reason, my puppet kept eating a pretend dog bone from her cave-girl puppet.   Each time my puppet mistakenly took a bite of the bone (it seemed to look a lot like bread, cheese...), my puppet would spit it out repeatedly and say 'blah!'.   Emily thought this was so funny, she tricked the puppet into eating many more bites of the dog bone, causing her to laugh so hard each time, I thought she was going to fall over.  Most importantly, she reminded me exactly of Mike in her full-on no-lifer full-of-life attack.  This happened to be at 9:15pm when Emily is always at her best and seems to show no signs of fatigue.  But clearly she is getting tired, because the best no-life-attacks occur when tired-- things just seem funnier.  Mike would often demonstrate this phenomenon, mid-afternoon or worse yet, post-call.

Here's to laughing so hard, you squeak (like a squeegee, Alison!).
Or as Mike would say, 'Laugh it up, fuzzball!'
P.S.  Matt P's post was published on the 8th but some of you might have missed it.

  1. So glad no-life attack tendencies live on in Emily!

For those unfamiliar with the "Laugh it up, fuzzball" quote - it's from Star Wars. Han says it to Chewy in Empire Strikes Back.
